From 7 July to 30 September the Rembrandt House Museum, which regularly stages exhibitions of contemporary prints, will be presenting a retrospective of Wendelien Schönfeld’s work.

Hidden Paint Layers Revealed
From 3 May to 1 July the Rembrandt House Museum is devoting an exhibition to the examination of about ten paintings by Rembrandt and his contemporaries using the XRF technique. The exhibition will include paintings by Rembrandt, Frans Hals, Jacob van Loo, Jan Breughel the Younger and others, all of which have recently been examined using XRF.

This spring the Rembrandt House Museum is staging the exhibition Drawing in Rembrandt's Day. Masterpieces from the Hamburger Kunsthalle. More than a hundred works, loans from many institutions in the Netherlands and Belgium, will give an overview of Amsterdam print output in the seventeenth century.
(Re)discovered Rembrandt
From 2 December 2011 an unknown painting by Rembrandt can be seen at the Rembrandt House. The small panel, Bearded Old Man, was painted by Rembrandt around 1630, at the end of his time in Leiden. The Rembrandt House has the painting on loan from a private collector.
